Today I got the topic:-

• A letter to my younger self.

So here we go!

Dear 12 year old me :),

Hello sweetie, 2 months back I turned 18. Umm, I really don't want to ruin your imagination and expectations but you know what? Disney tricked us! I didn't get any magical powers or meet any prince charming this year, huh! Instead, I spent my 18th birthday at my home the whole day! (You will later come to know why!)

But it wasn't that bad either... because as the time passes by you realize that you just want your family and friends to be with you in order to achieve true happiness. :))

When I look at you I feel so proud, I know you are rushing and crying over the fact that your best friend got a new best friend and now she doesn't play with you anymore. But trust me, it's better to be alone and discover yourself than being with those fake friends.. fake friends this must be a new word for you, isn't it? But you will soon get accustomed to it. Just love yourself, you are all you need!!!

I know you are sad about your results. You have got poor grades in science. So you have stopped going outside and playing with your friends. I just want to tell you that when they say - 

'You have to be perfect in academics' 

They are wrong! Just focus on enjoying your life right now, discover what you like. I really wish I would have chosen things differently, chosen painting over tan and cos. But Alas! Now it is in your hand and I know you will make the right decision! 

Don't argue with your mom, I repeat just don't. When she denied your request for going to that late-night stay over with your friends you barely even knew, she was right. When she said you must not buy that very overpriced dress, she was right. You gotta trust her decisions and learn from her. This way, your life will get easier and you will be able to make the right decisions. 

I know there are people around you following the new trends, using slang language, using bad language..and you have decided to refuse all of it because you just don't like it.. so now they have started calling you a NERD. Now they don't include you in their conversation, and you feel lonely. You wish that you should have been like them... but my love I am so happy that you chose yourself you didn't give in. And now, here I am absolutely happy with what I am and what my friend circle is!

When I look back, I see you with that happy smile and glittery eyes on your face. You have such big dreams! You are the Ambitious Akanksha! And I love it. Don't let anyone tell you that your dreams are out of reach. Believe me, You have got this!

Stand up to those bullies!

Write letters to your sister who is currently pursuing her studies living in a hostel. 

Don't be afraid of people judging you, if you know in your heart that you are right and doing the right things don't let people tell you otherwise! :)

Stay strong! 

Trust me,  the upcoming future is brighter and happier than you expected!

The final piece of advice: Never give up. You don't have to do this life thing right! This is not an exam, you can make mistakes, you can take risks, but be calculative too!

P.s. please quit eating chocolates every day, I am really mad at you because of my tooth decay! Aarrghhh!!
